Hilarie Burton was born a Cancer on July 1, 1982 in Sterling Park, Virginia, where she was also brought up. She shares her birthday with fellow Hollywood personalities such as Liv Tyler, Pamela Anderson, Claire Forlani and Dan Aykroyd. Her real name is Hilarie Ross Burton and aside from being sexy, Hollywood audience noted her for being cute and charming.

Her family has a close-knit relationship. She is the oldest of the four children of her parents. Her younger brothers are Billy, Conrad, and Johnny. Just for fun, she nicknamed them Billy Awesome, C-Rock and Jonny Kickass. Her father Bill Burton is an antique collector and her mother Liza Burton is a real state agent.

Her passion for acting developed at an early stage in her life. She knew as child that what she really likes to do is to act in films. After a span of time, while staying in New York to attend classes at Fordham University and actively participating in a group called Clean Teans, she was able to land a job at MTV as a VJ, a career many people in Hollywood covet. MTV spotted her while she was standing outside the TRL studios.
